This computer is ultra-portable while still maintaining high performance and long battery life. We recommend this configuration for users needing a highly portable Macintosh laptop, suitable for most standard office applications. This laptop comes with the new M1 chip and there are significant changes we have to make in deploying them, we appreciate your patience as we work out any issues.

M1 Chip Compatibility

  • Supports ONE external monitor natively
  • Box Drive (you can work around this by using a web browser )
  • Google Drive File Stream (you can work around this by using a web browser)
  • Matlab, R, and other possible statistical software - running statistical applications in an emulation environment (with Rosetta) is NOT recommended
  • Virtualization apps like VMWare Fusion and Parallels
  • Sophos Antivirus will NOT be installed (an updated client is expected in 1Q 2021)
  • All 32-bit software  (if you are running older software you will need to check for M1 compatible versions)
